This lakefront resort has nine rental cottages located on the north shore of Big Platte Lake. Most cottages can accommodate up to 6 people. These 2 or 3 bedroom cottages have wireless internet access, cable TV, a complete kitchen with a stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, etc. Patio with picnic table and charcoal grill. The property has a video and pinball recreation room, horseshoes, playground, campfire pit, swimming area, a nice sandy beach, fish cleaning house and freezer. Also included is the free use of a rowboat and/or canoe (in season). The resort is not handicap accessible and pets are not allowed.
Surroundings
The resort is secluded and quiet, and the property is wooded. It is located on Big Platte Lake, only minutes away from beautiful Lake Michigan, on the edge of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Nearby recreation includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, tubing and hunting. Also nearby, is one of Michigan's finest (and one of the last) Drive-In movie theaters!
Big Platte Lake is approximately 2,500 acres, with a water depth of 90 feet. Fish include northern pike, coho, steelhead, small mouth bass, and others.
